This Part of West Wales

The superb coastline boasts a rich and varied landscape of glorious sandy beaches, rugged cliffs, tiny coves and rocky pools. The flower strewn coastal footpaths afford an environment abounding in natural beauty and wildlife, with spectacular views across Cardigan Bay to the distant Snowdonia Mountains. Seals can often be seen from the seashore, and there you may likewise witness the amazing ballet of leaping dolphins and soak up spectacular sunsets.

There is so much to do and see in the locality. Experience the breathtaking freedom of the wild, Preseli Hills. Enjoy a variety of beautiful and stunning scenery; rolling hills, quiet country lanes, hedgerows displaying an abundance of wild flowers, wooded valleys, tumbling streams and the majestic River Teifi with her famous falls and salmon leap at Cenarth.

Why not try fishing for salmon and sea trout (sewin) on the River Teifi with the Teifi Trout Association with day, weekly and season permits available.

Explore the castles and relics of the past, discover enchanting fishing villages, recapture the spirit of yesterday and take a nostalgic ride on a steam locomotive, or perhaps have a day of family fun at the numerous leisure parks and activity centres.

Whether you are interested in walking, birdwatching, fishing, sailing, horse riding, browsing in local craft and antique shops or simply relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet and fresh air, you will find something here for you!

The Tourist Information Centres in Cardigan and Aberaeron are open all year and through the summer in New Quay for further inspiration - if you have the time.

You can be as lazy or as active as you like in this beautiful part of West Wales.
